Sentry is a highly automated collision monitoring system that continually scans the most current asteroid catalog for possibilities of future impact with Earth over the next 100 years. Whenever a potential impact is detected it will be analyzed and the results immediately published here…

World ‘must tackle space threat’
They say the next major threatening event could occur in less than 20 years. Asteroid Apophis is due to pass close to the Earth and analyses suggest a one in 45,000 chance of a collision.

On 3 November 2008, at about 10.30pm, a solitary asteroid whistled past the Earth, missing us by just 45,000km, about an eighth of the distance to the Moon. That’s a hair’s breadth in astronomical terms. It was only detected hours before its closest approach.
