a yogi sees it differently, because he knows consciousness has subtler levels, and that individual awarenesses can apprehend reality on subtler planes .. you have described horizontal possibilities in a nice way, but only as a way of making a distinction between a partial kind of subjective limitation and technology ..

an understanding of deeper levels of awareness yields a different understanding of what technology is in terms of the subject, it is an extension of self, and knowing this pretty much eliminates your argument.

the gap that you see doesn't exist except in a narrowly defined subset ...

anyway, sorry to nitpick, nice blog
