Consciousness isn't simplified down to a biproduct of a biological machine - consciousness is our soul - unchanging, eternal; the truth is consciousness is god.
Thinking consciousness resides within the individual human or organism is anthrocentric and like thinking the earth is the center of the solar system. The unified consciousness spans the entire universe and is the fundamental necessity driving the continuity of existance and life.
Simply a better more-unified and optomistic philosophy!
