I felt a bit nauseous watching the Republican convention last night. I’m very much a give-the-benefit-of-the-doubt kind of guy, so I try to listen to the arguments people make even when they’re made in over-the-top or patronizing ways.

Doug, I must ask you this- Were you in our living room last night when we were witness to this televised event? Your words mimic our words and sentiments. Thank you for bringing to light real and true concerns.

I'm not shocked. Nothing's shocking. But I must admit to being a little amazed. - Now, let's see if the American people buy into these hate messages or not, come November, as the adult citizens of this great nation will be turning themselves into voters again. I don't know. The majority of adult Americans may even choose to forget about everything the republicans have been saying to them, and simply cast their vote to McCain for the simple fact that the opposing candidate is black?
