It seems to me that the choices made by IEET readers show considerably more sophistication in understanding how quickly (or not) certain technologies are likely to have an impact. But perhaps I’m just biased in favor of our audience.

Well at least you’re honest about it Mike. 
I also happen to agree. Looking at the state of biotech versus the state nanotech it doesn’t seem like a very difficult call to make.
