Whole Brain Emulation Workshop

May 26-27, 2007
Oxford, UK

Whole Brain Emulation Workshop
Future of Humanity Institute, Oxford, UK

Rebecca Roache , Nick Bostrom and Anders Sandberg are organising an FHI workshop on the topic of ‘whole brain emulation’, due to take place on May 26 and 27. This is an important technology foresight project, to be attended by invited experts from areas such as computational neuroscience, brain-scanning technology, computing and neurobiology. The goal is to create a ‘roadmap’ detailing the current state of art with regard to brain emulation, and identifying milestones that would have to be reached before whole brain emulation could become feasible.
