Humanity+ Summit

December 5-6, 2009
Eon Reality, Irvine, CA USA

http://www.humanityplus.org/summit/

Organized by Humanity Plus

Humanity will be radically changed by technology in the (possibly quite near) future.

We foresee the feasibility of redesigning the human condition, including such parameters as the inevitability of aging, limitations on human and artificial intellects, unchosen psychology, suffering, and our confinement to the planet earth.

The possibilities are tremendously broad and exciting—and the H+ Summit will provide a venue to discuss them with like-minded individuals, and hear exciting, presentations by the leaders of the ongoing H+ r/evolution.

SPEAKERS

In formation Contact Alex Lightman to propose a talk.

- Aubrey de Grey on life extension
- Ben Goertzel and Peter Voss on artificial intelligence
- Ramez Naam on advanced search
- RU Sirius on h+ Magazine
- Patri Friedman on seasteading
- Natasha Vita-More on human enhancement
- Todd Huffman, Randal Koene, and Ken Hayworth on Whole Brain Emulation
- Edward Miller and Joseph P Jackson on the open science movement and post-scarcity
- Alex Lightman and Parijata Mackey on open source medicine
- James Hughes and Sonia Arrison on building transhumanism and life extension as a political movement
- Tyson Anderson and Andrew Hessel on DIYbiology
- Bryan Bishop and Ben Lipkowitz on frabratories

REGISTRATION:

The H+ Summit is expected to sell out, so we urge our friends and colleagues to purchase their tickets sooner rather than later. We think people derive the most benefit from new ideas by adopting them sooner, so we are experimenting with a new double incentive: the sooner you buy your tickets, the less expensive your ticket will be, and the more impressive the category listed on your name badge.

We will have six tiers of tickets, each 50 tickets, starting at $150, and increasing $50 for each tier sold out. Tickets classes will have the following names to indicate how early in the Technology Adoption curve they were purchased.

$150 = Innovators
$200 = Early Adopters
$250 = Chasm
$300 = Early Majority
$350 = Late Majority
$400 = Contributors
