Members of the Israeli transhumanist chapter will hold a panel on Life-extension at the forthcoming conference of the Israeli society for the History and Philosophy of Science. 

The Conference will take place on March 16, Sunday, in the Bloomfield Museum of Science, Jerusalem (near Givat Ram campus of the Hebrew University).

The panel on Life-extension will be held at 16.00, in the Einstein auditorium of the Museum, including: 

1. Dr. Frida Simonstein, Dept of Health System Management, Yezreel Valley College,
“Research on ageing and stem cells. Intimations with indefinitely prolonged lives (IPLs)”

2. Dr. Doron Garfinkel, Shoham Medical Center and the Israeli society for the retardation of age-related processes.
“Retardation of the aging processes – facts and fantasies”

3. Rachel Hillel, Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Bar-Ilan University,
“Aging body as disturbing the social order”

4, Ilia Stambler, Dept of Science, Technology and Society. Bar-Ilan University.
“Elie Metchnikoff and the rise of the Life-extensionist movement”
