Bostrom appointed full professor at Oxford

Posted: Aug 6, 2008

Nick Bostrom has been awarded the title of (full) Professor of Applied Ethics at Oxford University, effective October first, 2008, in recognition of research “of outstanding quality” and his “significant international reputation.”

Nick serves as Director of the Future of Humanity Institute, which is part of the James Martin 21st Century School at Oxford University, as chair of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies, and as founding chair of the World Transhumanist Association (aka Humanity Plus).

Kudos!
