Dr. J. chats with David L. Simon MD, JD. Dr. Simon invented controversial techniques for using anesthesia to assist in heroin addicts undergoing “intensive detoxification.” and has filed patents on less addictive opiate compounds. He is an advocate of drug law reform, and has recently become a JD to pursue intellectual property law. We talk about opium and intellectual property.
