“I want to see a society in which humanity stops trying to control nature, and learns to live within its physical, biological and spiritual boundaries. That does mean facing certain difficult realities, such as the fact that all of us will die one day. But nature shows us that death brings new life, and that this must be consolation enough. Suffering may be bad, but the alternative may prove to be far, far worse.”
