The world had a population of about 2.3 billion when Chaplin filmed "The Great Dictator." What if it turns out that we simply don't have enough resources for everyone in our century?

There is plenty enough food for every single human being on this planet.
Resources aren't a problem, since we've always been able to create more and more with less and less.
The reason not everyone can enjoy the same resources is because it isn't distributed fairly.
