IEET is Rocking the Intertubes

Posted: Aug 31, 2010

In the last year our web traffic has doubled.

Alexa shows a huge spike in the last couple of months.

Google shows us getting up to twice our usual number of visitors this summer.

And in May and June we had risen from 200,000th in Compete’s web ranking to 100,000th.

All the IEET writers, from interns to our new affiliate scholars to our staff and board members, are owed a big thanks for their hard work that went into making the IEET the premier voice for technoprogressive thinking that it has become. But a special shout out goes to some of the excellent writers this summer whose essays have been read by more than 2500 viewers a piece:

Andrea Kuszewski’s Sex Makes You Smarter “” Can “˜Virtual Sex’ Do The Same?

Mike Treder’s Life in a Virtual World

Kris Notaro’s Can We Be Happy Forever In Robot Bodies?

Marcelo Rinesi’s Peak Oil and Climate Change: Between Too Soon and Not Soon Enough

Ben Goertzel’s Might There Be Intelligences in Other “Dimensions”?

Mike Treder’s Voluntary Human Extinction

George Dvorsky’s There’s More to Singularity Studies Than Kurzweil

Keep up the good work folks!
