New issue of JET

Posted: Jan 6, 2009

We have started on the new issue of the Journal of Evolution and Technology with a brief editorial by Russell Blackford and articles by Eric Steinhart (on the relationship between transhumanism and the work of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin) and Colin Farrelly (a dialogue about fundamental public policy priorities).

Since we publish material as it is ready, rather than waiting until an issue is complete, there will be more to come in volume 20, issue 1. Volume 20 will cover the last part of 2008 and the entirety of 2009. Thereafter, there will be one volume per year.

We are not committed to a precise number of issues in each volume. It depends on what material is received that falls into the scope of the journal and meets our standards - plus there’s the fact that we will publish special issues from time to time (eg. conference proceedings) plus regular issues based on submissions received.

Do have a look at the new material on the site. I hope you’ll be glad you did.

Best wishes to all,

Russell Blackford
