"I'm not gay, however if you want to be gay, it is none of my beeswax."

of course it also depends where, some locations today are still intolerant of gays-- nevertheless the situation has rapidly changed since the '70s. Before 1977, I lived in NYC, there it was taken for granted being gay was okay. Yet when I moved out west, if one were to make positive remarks about homosexuality, they'd look at you as if you were a monster from outer space.
Now that is only the case in remote areas; you will only get that from residents of rural areas such as where the Westboro Baptist Church is located in Kansas. Naturally the Westboro Baptist Church doesn't have to like gays.. but then gays do not have to like the Westboro Baptist Church. Which is something the Westboro Baptist Church doesn't quite grasp.

No, I live a four hour drive from Westboro, and their sort do think outsiders must be diplomatic to them, however if they want to diss outsiders-- then tough titty for outsiders.
