Inner Space vs. Outer Space in Science Fiction and Science Fact

What's positive about space is separating belligerents:
the KKK can live on one planet; Black Panthers on another.
Israel can colonise a location; National Socialists another.
Gays can have their own substrate, whereas fundamentalists can go elsewhere...

There's place for everyone.

There's a much more efficient place, much more efficient space, uploaded into a VR world of your very own, as data residing on a hard drive in space, powered perpetually by the energy of the Sun?

Imagine the savings on real estate and retirement homes alone?

But if you are preoccupied with your inner space world, how do you deal with any problems taking place on the outside that could threaten you in your inner space world?

Its not just the bad people that should be of concern (i don't think we can ever be rid of those). If you want to know what I'm talking about, just try think of every kind of disaster possible that is not within our immediate control. BTW, how would we control anything on the outside if we our spending our existence on the inside?

Perhaps it will only be for the rich peoples, and they can then employ robots or Humans to do the necessary subserviant duties.

Really guys, you have to think a little bigger, and rationalize that sociocultural and socioeconomic dilemmas will be solved for the future techno-utopia and not perpetuated?

I'm not just talking about sociocultural and socioeconomic factors, I'm taking about natural disasters and accidents that may be unforeseen. Besides, all the issues of the former would be able to be solved if we were all good people, but the hard reality is that we aren't and we cannot be ignorant of that (and its not just the rich you would have to worry about).

Well sociocultural and socioeconomic factors are most likely "the key" obstacle and risk to Humanity at this stage in our evolution, and could not only halt all progress for the future, but reverse it? Think global war, (orchestrated or not, is a levelling zero sum game).

Natural disasters and their effects can be mitigated, however, in the above scenario, if the Sun were to go nova, or the Earth was to suffer a massive solar radiation burst, then it will be game over for all of us anyhow, including any minds uploaded.

I guess there will always be good and bad people. Some people who oppose any form of technological evolution deem themselves as "good" and convince themselves they are doing us all a favour in obstructing change, such like the plutocrats would oppose any changes to our present redundant socioeconomic capitalist systems based upon burden of debt?

What the world suffers from is not lack of good people, nor people with integrity, it suffers from a divisive state of apathy and lack of action, because we are "all" too small-minded?
