The IEET is very pleased to introduce some of the new interns we have recently inducted. We will post more information on additional interns - those who are still taking their loyalty oaths, having their brains rewired and learning their passwords - next week.
V.R.Manoj is a Research Scholar (Doctoral Student) at the Centre for Environmental Studies, Anna University, India. His area of research is biological wastewater treatment. He is a postgraduate in Microbiology and is also qualified in Bioinformatics, Cell culture and Plant tissue culture. Manoj is a founding member of the Indian chapter of the WTA and is currently the Organizational Director for the Second Life chapter of the WTA. Amongst others, he is a member of the Microbiologists Association of India and of the All India Bioethics Association. His specific interests in Transhumanism range from Cyborgs and Metaverses to the Environmental and the Spiritual aspects.
Edward Miller is a Political Science and Philosophy student at Monmouth College. He is serving as an officer of the Transhumanist Student Network, and has been an active member of BetterHumans.com for years. He is a Social Democrat, very interested in Sustainable Development through the utilization of technology in creative and innovative ways, and an Open Source software advocate.
Kyle Parry is an undergraduate in the Department of Rhetoric at UC Berkeley. He is at work on a senior thesis critiquing representations of counter-symbolic and counter-ideological individual action. He discusses myriad topics, including the future, in his newborn blog Cradle, Cradle
Kristi Scott is a Master of Liberal Studies student at the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, IN. Her focus is on Advertising/Marketing, Mass Communication and Society, with a special interest in transhumanism and science. Kristi is a freelance writer for Evansville Living magazine and a freelance graphic designer for local area businesses. She is also a member of the Junior League of Evansville. Kristi has already designed the poster and graphic for the upcoming IEET-IHEU conference.
Steve Windmueller is an IT programmer with a BS in Computer Science and Math. He is interested in technology (computer science, astronomy, nanotechnology, AI, alife, etc.) and especially in life extension. He is working on a volunteer project for the Methuselah Foundation, is a member of the World Transhumanist Association, and spends time in the self-study of biology.

Heather Bradshaw is working on her dissertation on transhumanism and disability, and has just stepped in as guest editor for the next issue of the Journal of Evolution and Technology.
Anne Corwin is buried in longevity activism with the Methusaleh Foundation, and new responsbilities with WTA and Lifeboat Foundation.
Ben Hyink is buried in organizing for the Transvision 2007 in Chicago, which, if you hadn’t noticed, is going to be huge, and will be addressed by both Kurzweil and William Shatner.
Michael Yin Jin is starting in medical school.
Benjamin Sparrow is now practicing law in Boston.
