Poll: When we can change sexual orientation….

Posted: Jan 16, 2008

Wow. I did not expect this result. Only 17% of you think control over sexual orientation will result in Western societies becoming straighter.

Most of you (55%) think the distribution of sexual orientation will remain roughly the same, either because most people won’t tinker, or because people will be changing in both directions. More than a quarter of you thought society would become more bisexual.

Hopefully the GLBT folks who oppose research on sexual orientation because of its fascist potentials will become more open to these alternative outcomes as well, and focus on fighting heteronormativity instead of brain science.

In related news a ten year longitudinal study of bisexual women has found that bisexuality is its own sexual orientation, at least for women. Only eight percent had switched their identities to straight by the end of the study.

Our new poll asks which supplements you are taking for your brain. Have you downed your fish oil with a cup of coffee or green tea yet today?
