Pot Prisoners Cost Americans $1 Billion a Year

If it wasn’t for all the profits this earns for the prison industrial-complex, this would be a real drag on the US economy. And all those dangerous potheads do come out of prison productive citizens with lots of valuable skills. Seriously, can someone explain to me why a half million prisoners of conscience caught in the US War on Drugs are completely ignored?
