Natasha Vita-More will speak on

“Human Enhancement of Extreme Life: Co-Evolving on the BRINC”.

Abstract is:
For decades a cultural movement known as transhumanism has been spreading across the globe.  This movement exists with an interdisciplinary tenor in the reawakening of our deepest urge — to survive and evolve.  But what are we surviving from and what are the tools we might survive with?  Of equal interests, what are we evolving into?  The author suggests that humans are surviving a limited lifespan with the convergence of bio-robo-info-nano/neuro-cogno (BRINC) as our tools.  What we are evolving into is unknown.  This paper takes a look at the technologies and sciences on the BRINC of our co-evolving transformation and suggest possible outcomes
