Athena Andreadis

Athena Andreadis served as a fellow of the IEET from 2007 to 2009. She is an Associate Professor of Cell Biology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and the author of To Seek Out New Life: The Biology of Star Trek.  She studies the gene regulatory mechanism known as alternative splicing. Athena writes on science and science fiction for The Harvard Review among other publications, while writing her own SF at the site Starship Reckless which she founded.
