Whilst meditation as a yogic discipline is excellent with certainly no downsides the misapprhension of 'mindfulness' is misleading. To think clearly, correctly [as in rational not moralistic] what was advocated when Buddhism emerged is mind-less-ness. The very opposite. To throw out the accumulated garbage and that of wrong thinking [non moralistically that is] and comprehend, understand, see clearly, act clearly we need to empty the mind. Not stuff it up.
