Smith) In the USA network series 4400 four thousand four hundred disappeared and now enhanced humans are returned to Earth by aliens or posthumans.They synthesize a superpower drug out of their blood called Promicin that gives recipients superpowers. The catch is that it kills 50% of those who take it.



Debate rages over whether the drug should be legal. In this clip a UN official discusses the debate among international regulators over whether Promicin would help developing countries. I suspect the IEET would advocate further testing before its release, although its use by the terminally ill could be defended.
