V. R. Manoj

V.R.Manoj is currently a Research Scholar and Junior Research Fellow at the Centre for Environmental Studies, Anna University Chennai, India. His area of research is biological wastewater treatment. He is a postgraduate in microbiology and is qualified in bioinformatics, animal cell culture and plant tissue culture. Manoj is a founding member of the Indian chapter of the World Transhumanist Association, and a life member of the Association of Microbiologists of India and the All India Bioethics Association. He also works with transhumanists in “Second Life” where he organized and led several events including the extremely popular talk by Prof.Kevin Warwick, the first real cyborg from Warwick University,England. His specific interests in transhumanism range from cyborgs and metaverses to environmental and spiritual issues of the posthuman future. . He writes the blog “Cyborg Fantasies.”.
