Ian Worrall

Ian Worrall is a 21-year-old serial entrepreneur and investor who grew up outside of Raleigh, North Carolina where his parents Mark and Mary Ellen still live.  His younger brother, Aidan, is at school in Connecticut on a Hockey scholarship.  Ian has a strong passion for finance which stemmed from beginning to trade equities at age 14 and became the driving force that led him to the blockchain industry.  Growing up he played several sports which brought him to the University of South Carolina which he said he chose immediately after visiting for a football game, and that UNC and Duke where too close to home.  During his Junior year he made the decision to leave school to pursue his entrepreneurial ventures full time after exiting from two small companies and relocated to Charlotte, NC where he currently lives and began growing the area’s first blockchain-specific company, Encrypted Labs, which he will not disclose much detail about what they are working on behind closed doors but mentioned it is in the field of p2p banking.  He also plays an active role in the large e Commerce platform thecryptostore.com, Tech AllStarz – a local technology partner for mid-cap companies, Blockchain Clothing & Accessories, and stays engrained in the community through investment activities, educational gaming, and is helping launch Charlotte’s first Blockchain incubator (Incubitor.io) with a planned launch of early 2016.  He sees a major place for blockchain in the future of world economies and desires to help facilitate adoption.
