“Intellectually elite” shouldn’t be a pejorative term

Intellectuals use their minds to fool others, as white collar crooks use financial manipulations. With large-scale intellectual-elite political teams of the past such as that of Nixon and Clinton, it should. The Clintons have marked Peronist tendencies. Nixon and his people thought everything could be manipulated by public relations. Numerous Nixons and Clintons exist today.
LBJ was a walking catastrophe.
His Best and Brightest were neither.
Could Trump plausibly do worse than what the Best and Brightest did in ‘Nam?

A ruling class of the wealthy, the well-connected and the corporate of all ethnicities, John? Probably the best America could do. Most likely scenario. Odds are the presidential election of 2020 will take place: at that time a first class candidate can be nominated to run for the office.
