On The Glenn Show, guest host Glenn II and David tackle the issue of marriage equality. David sees a crisis in the institution of marriage in America. Glenn and David discuss the generational divide over the public and private meanings of marriage, and explore the chicken-and-egg reasons for the declining marriage rate.
Candid interview, David says exactly what he thinks: several times he says he doesn't want to be unfair and also says he doesn't want to be on the wrong side of the gay question.
A step up.
Remember the episode of Seinfeld where the characters all say they are not gay but hasten to add that there's nothing wrong with being gay? Such is the new Western attitude:
"I'm not gay, however if you want to be gay, it is none of my beeswax."

of course it also depends where, some locations today are still intolerant of gays-- nevertheless the situation has rapidly changed since the '70s. Before 1977, I lived in NYC, there it was taken for granted being gay was okay. Yet when I moved out west, if one were to make positive remarks about homosexuality, they'd look at you as if you were a monster from outer space.
Now that is only the case in remote areas; you will only get that from residents of rural areas such as where the Westboro Baptist Church is located in Kansas. Naturally the Westboro Baptist Church doesn't have to like gays.. but then gays do not have to like the Westboro Baptist Church. Which is something the Westboro Baptist Church doesn't quite grasp.

They don't have to grasp it, knowing that you're going to hell is good enough.

No, I live a four hour drive from Westboro, and their sort do think outsiders must be diplomatic to them, however if they want to diss outsiders-- then tough titty for outsiders.
For thine whoeth are the Elect are released from the Law... a kind of fundamentalist immunity from prosecution.
